NEW TECHNOLOGY HOPED TO REDUCE RISK IN CARE
The development of new motion sensor technology has the ability to monitor resident behavior and detect changes or abnormalities that might be a warning sign of an imminent health problem.
The sophisticated technologies can assess sleep quality, measure heart and breathing rates, while others can detect changes in walking patterns, pinpointing which resident is most likely to suffer a fall.
The new technology is hoped to assist busy staff by providing an early warning system that alerts them to potential resident risks and future health concerns.
